Darrell Grant is a pianist/composer who uses music to make change. Recent projects include Veintiuno Cartas, a song-cycle based on letters written by incarcerated immigrant mothers, and Sanctuaries, a chamber opera about gentrification in Black communities. He co-directs the interdisciplinary Artist-as-Citizen Social Change Initiative at Portland State University.
