Born in the deserts of the Southwest United States – The Delbert Anderson Trio provides a funky and contemporary take on Diné/Navajo Melodies. Anderson’s fiery and expressive trumpet playing is combined with the improvisation style of bassist Mike McCluhan and the deep pocket of internationally touring drummer Nicholas Lucero to create a distinctly unique style and presence. DAT continues to honor Anderson’s musical and cultural heritage while pushing what it means to be a jazz trio with a progressive attitude and contemporary sound to create music that is emotionally compelling, rhythmically rich, and melodically satisfying.
