Dr. Karl Irikura has been a scientist at NIST since 1991. He fell in love with chamber music while studying chemistry at Caltech. Primarily a violist, he has attended the long-running Gettysburg College string quartet workshop for 25+ years, as well as various other programs, including Apple Hill.
